It is designed to be stacked to create zigzag stairwells. Attempting to create a one-direction chain of stairwells will fail. Even if you add a frame to support the second stairwell, the cap wall blocks travel from the lower stair to the upper stair.<br />

Although the stairwell has many walls that prevent travel, these walls can not support wall-mounted devices (like consoles, logic elements or the like). The impassable cap walls also prevent stairwells from being used in-line in a corridor.<br />
