Each charging battery will draw 500 Watts. The maximum amount of power needed for five batteries is 2500 Watts. Connecting the battery charger to heavy cables will not increase the charging rate.<br />
It consumes 10 Watt standby power when switched on regardless of the number of batteries connected.<br />
